Minister for Northern Affairs Daniel Vandal has announced four new appointments to Nutrition North’s Advisory Board – all of them are Northerners and three Inuit women.
Brenda Jancke, Beth Kotierk, Janice Gray-Scott and Dr. Sarah Jane Cook will join the seven-person board of directors.
Your job will be to provide advice on the Nutrition North program, which aims to make nutritious foods and some other essential products more available and affordable in the North.
“Through hard work and strong partner support, the program of locally led solutions for northerners will continue to improve from northerners,” Vandal said in a press release announcing the appointments.
The new board members come from a wide variety of areas. Beth Kotierk is a civil attorney in Iqaluit and the Vice President of the Qajuqturvik Community Food Center.
Brenda Jancke lives in Cambridge Bay, where she is the Regional Director of the Department of Family Services.
