Law360 (Jun 23, 2021, 8:42 p.m. EDT) – A Kentucky federal judge has thrown a hemp farm’s $ 9 million contract litigation against an Oregon CBD processor, ruling the farm failed to show that the Bluegrass State is the appropriate place of jurisdiction for its claims.
In a ruling on Wednesday, US District Judge Robert E. Wier said Third Wave Farms LLC had failed to explain why Pure Valley Solutions LLC should face Third Wave’s allegations in Kentucky federal court.
Third Wave filed a declaratory judgment in March 2020, asking the court to terminate its contract with Pure Valley after it was charged with a $ 9 million bill.
